In The Beginning
Gen 2:7 And God formed man from the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life and man became a living soul.
Gen 2:8-9 And God planted a garden, there He put the man He formed. And out of the ground He made every tree that is pleasant to the sight and good for food, the tree of life also. And in the midst of the garden the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.
Gen 2:15 And God took the man, and put him into the garden to dress it and keep it
Gen 2:16 And God commanded the man saying:
"Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat
Gen 2:17 But the tree of the knowledge of good and evil thou shalt not eat of it, for in the day you eat there of you shall surely die.
Gen 3:18 Thorns and thistles shall the ground bring forth and you shall eat the herb of the field
Gen 3:19 By the sweat of your face shall you eat bread, till you return unto the ground, for out of it was you taken: For dust are you and dust shall you return
How did we go wrong?
Gen 3:1 Now the serpent was more subtle than any beast of the field which God had made. And the serpent said unto the woman, has God said you shall not eat of any tree in the garden?
Gen 3:2 And the women said, "Of the fruit of trees of the garden we may eat: But of the fruit which is in the midst of the garden God said we shall not eat of it, neither shall you touch it, lest you die.
Gen 3:4 And the serpent said unto the woman, "You shall not surely die. God knows for in that day that you eat thereof your eyes will be open and you shall be as God knowing good and evil.
Gen 3:6 And when the woman saw that the tree appeared to be good for food, and it was a delight for the eyes, and that the tree was to be desired to make one wise,
she took the fruit and ate, and gave also to her husband and he did eat of the fruit
